As the escort of Vishnu, she appears as Lakshmi-Narayan. She also appears alongside each of Lord Vishnu's Avtars. The most important of these are Sita, wife of Ram, and Radha, Shri Krishna's favourite gopi. Her four hands represent four spiritual virtues.
