BLOOD
DONATION CAMPS
- Chandra Lakshmi has been sponsoring blood donation camps every
year, especially on the 21st september of each year, the birthday of
Shri Kamal Bhambhani. This year the blood donation camp was
organised at Karol Bagh. The Rotary Club of Delhi (main) and M/s
Panickers Travels contributed immensely in organising this camp. The
Rotary Club of Delhi provided a state of the art
mobile blood collection vehicle for this purpose. The blood bank at
the all India Institute of Medical Sciences sent a professional team
of doctors and technicians to actualize the blood donations. The
entire lot of collected blood was donated to the AIIMS blood bank.
The Delhi Public School, Mathura road, sent a contingent of about
forty students and teachers to assist in the administration of the
camp. The involvement of these young energetic students went a long
way in making this camp successful. Chandra Lakshmi takes this
opportunity to thank all those who contributed to make this camp
successful. Nearly one hundred blood donors turned up at this camp.
Chandra
Lakshmi also assisted in organising another blood camp in
association with the Rotary Club of Delhi on the 19th January 2001
at Arya Samaj road. Shri Rakesh Grover sponsored the camp. The team
of doctors and technicians from AIIMS conducted the camp. The
Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vasant Vihar sent a contingent of students to
assist in this camp. Their principal Rrs. Indira Bhardwaj took
personal interest and supervised the working of the camp. A little
less than one hundred blood donors visited this camp.
We also sponsered the annual Blaood Donation Camp on the 21st of
September'o1 with assistance of Rotary Club of Delhi and Maharaja
Agrasen Public School. The Camp was held at The Satyawati College,
Ashok Vihar. Close to one hundread units of blood were collected and
donated to All India Institute of Medical Science.
Chandra Lakshmi has always been in the forefront for many community
service projects and has keen associating with many social groups in
their activities. We believe that it is important to address the
common concerns that affect our community.
