The Year 97-98 In Retrospect.

1. Chandra Lakshmi has hosted a complete independent site on the world wide web at the address "www.chitfund.com". With this we will now be available for two way communications and display of information all over the world 24 hours of the day.
   We have constantly worked on improving the communication channels with our subscribers. We feel it is important that our subscribers may reach us and to make this practical the fax and tele-answering machines are activated during non-office hours to enable you to leave your instructions whenever you feel comfortable. The Office extends the facility of "Business Reply Envelopes" so that you may send in your requests, instructions and subscriptions more conveniently. In order to provide latest information to the subscribers mailers are regularly sent. Lakshmi Patrika tm completes four years of regular circulation.
2. Constant value addition has been made in the new schemes offered for subscription.
   This year saw the launch our first High Value Series of Rs. 7,50,000/-. In this series the company did not subscribe any chit and consequently, the subscribers paid only one full instalment of Rs. 25,000/-. The dividend of even this one full chit gets passed on to the subscriber. A small token gift been presented to each subscriber in this series. These features are added to maximise satisfaction of our subscribers.
   This year also saw the launch of a new Maximum Dividend Series of Rs. 2,50,000/- which was highly appreciated by the subscribers. Apart from these new series many of our regular series also opened for subscription during the year. These include the Maximum Liquidity Series and the short duration wondors, among others.
3. While the nation celebrates 50 years of independence it is upto each and every one of us citizens to share this pride and spread the significance of this event amongst fellow brother citizens. Chandra Lakshmi participated in the independence celebrations by actively working in the hosting of an elaborate ceremony at our Ranjit Nagar Commercial Complex. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries and many of the resident of this complex. Students of the local Government Girls School performed a beautiful cultural show with songs on the national theme. The gifts/compliments given away during the year were procured from Archies and Camlin and were all based on the theme of independence. These included independence pencils depicting the tricolour and legend on independence, a National Flag, Independence greeting cards and a music Cassette "Ai Mere Watan". The August issue of Lakshmi Patrika was made in full colour, depicting colours of our National Flag.
4. As Part of the independence celebrations Chandra Lakshmi sponsored a complete blood donation camp on the 22nd Sept'1997 at the Ranjit Nagar Commercial Complex. There was a turnout of 111 donors at this camp.
5. On behalf of Chandra Lakshmi Chit Fund Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Kamal Bhambhani was selected to represent the cause of chit fund industry in front of Delhi's Finance Minister on a T.V. Programme on Doordarshan. "Cross Fire " was exchanged between the chit fund industry represented by Mr. Bhambhani and the government represented by the Finance Minister Mr. Jagdish Mukhi. "Cross Fire " was presented by Jai Ram Ramesh and it was Aired on 2nd Nov.'1997. Apart from this SitiCable also put together a programme on the chit industry featuring Mr. Bhambhani. This programme was aired in Siti Hulchal.
6. During the year Chandra Lakshmi has actively participated in the programmes of the Delhi Chit Funds Association and the All India Federation of Chit Funds of which it occupies executive status. Chandra Lakshmi was represented at Chennai for the workshops and conferences of the All India Federation of Chit Funds during the month of Nov'1997.
7. Along with all the above innovations and events, this year was also a very successful year in terms of volume of business done by us. We could surpass our turnover of previous years & create new records by the end of the financial year.

Summer Workshop for Children In Association with CAMLIN
Chandra Lakshmi is organising a 4 day summer workshop for children of our subscribers. The workshop will provide creative inputs and give new ideas to the children. The technical support in the workshop will be provided for by Camlin, the specialists in Art Material & Colours. Details of this workshop are being posted seperately to the subscribers.

IT IS BEST TO REMIT ALL YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS VIDE A CHEQUE CROSSED 'A/C PAYEES ONLY'.
There is no substitute to a bank transaction and cash payments should only be an exception and not a rule.
If a cash payment is made, always insist on a receipt from the representative who accepts the cash. Cash receipt books issued to the representatives are always offset printed and serialed and it is in your own interest to get a valid, signed receipt for your cash payments.
