The ASAF 96
The Asian Securities Analysts Federation promotes the interests of the investment community of Asia and Oceania, and to encourage and assist the development of the profession of securities analysts through the interchange of ideas and coordination of policy among member societies. Apart from India the Federation has membership from the securities institutes of Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taipei, and Thailand.
The ASAF 96 was the Annual Conference of the Federation held in Taj Palace, New Delhi between 1-3 December. The conference was attended by more than 200 delegates from all the participating countries. The prestigious event had major discussions on all the aspects of Investment and Financial Services along with an exchange of ideas by way of presentations from the member countries.
Our participation in ASAF 96 was guided by our philosophy to stay tuned to the world of finance, to understand the latest international phenomenon and to make an effort to upgrade ourselves to suit our environment.

Dinner Colloquium
The Delhi Chit Funds Association organized a Dinner Colloquium in December. The gathering of about one hundred chit fund promoters was addressed by a galaxy of speakers. The Local Delhi MLAs Mr. O. P. Babbar and Mr. Bodhraj elaborated the contribution of chit funds to our society and made observations on various legal aspects in the governance of chit companies. The other speakers included Mr. Prakash Kumar, Director of Chits, Mrs. Rashmi Krishnan, Registrar of Chits, Delhi Administration and Mr. Prabhu Ghate, an author and a luminary in the field of informal finance and presently with the World Bank.
As a Executive of DCFA we have actively participated in all its meetings, discussions, representations at various forum and in the hosting of seminars.

North Delhi Cancer Research Institute
NDCRI has been promoted by a consortium of professionals, mainly doctors, and Mr. Kamal Bhambhani is one of the promoters. The Centre is located centrally, at the Shroff Eye Hospital opposite Golcha Cinema in Darya Ganj. The Centre has become operational only a few months ago and it is a State-Of-The-Art facility for all kinds of diagnostics. 15 Years of Computerization
Chandra Lakshmi has recently celebrated 15 years of computerization, out of which more than 10 years have been in-house on-line processing. From outside processing in the beginning to a single PC-XT computer EDP and then to the present where practically every desk in the office supports a computer with a software that is customized and highly technically evolved after fifteen years of constant upgradation. It has been a long story. It has also been a very expensive adventure in terms of time, energy, effort and money that has gone into it.
It all started because of a crazy desire to provide good services to our subscribers.
